The announcer said "Eamonn Coghlan from Rye, New York is the 1983 5000 meter world champion!
I enjoy watching track and field almost as much as I like watching weightlifting. Since Eamonn lived in the next town from my office I wondered if we would someday meet.
As 1983 world champion Eamonn was favored to win the 1984 Olympics. But his injury nemesis, stress fractures of the shins, cancelled his Olympic Dream!
I was soon treating Eamonn's profoundly unhealthy lower leg muscles every night from 11pm to 2am for eight months!
Eamonn's successful return to the 1985 indoor circuit provided me with instant credibility in the track world.
In addition to Eamonn other Olympic and World level athletes I have treated are:
Many of the track athletes from the following college programs used my services:
I also treated numerous tri-state athletes most of whom were All-Americans,National and State Champions:
I have also treated many local high school coaches:
I was also honored as being chosen as a member of the science advisory Board of Runner’s World Magazine. I answered questions from concerned readers about injuries requiring rehabilitation. I attended multiple Millrose games competitions and indoor national championships where I treated many other national and international elite athletes. |
